Hi, could in the following sentence the definite article the be used too?

... As in the preceding financial year, all three business segments contributed to overall revenue, which rose to .... EUR.

I mean, what if the sentence read:

.... contributed to the overall revenue, which rose....

Hi Torsten

You can also use "revenues" and instead of "overall", the word "total" would be far more typical.
total revenue(s).
