Explanation of implicit (adjective)
describing knowledge which resides in people's heads and is not easily written down

Sample of implicit
The child's anger was implicit.
Implicit trust must be earned.



   
Explanation of tacit (adjective)
not voiced or expressed; communicated wordlessly

Sample of tacit
The National Security Agency aide argued, in effect, that he had received the president's tacit approval for the arms-for-hostages deal.



   
Explanation of equivocal (adjective)
doubtful; uncertain; questionable; undecided

Sample of equivocal
Scientific evidence was needed before the equivocal hypothesis was accepted by the doubting researchers.

belittling; uncomplimentary; scornful; disparaging

He was upset because his annual review was full of derogatory comments.

morally lacking in restraint; lascivious

concerning everyone; existing everywhere; comprehensive; worldwide

incompetent; clumsy; unskilled; inappropriate

She would rather update the budget book herself, since her assistant is so inept.



   
Explanation of destitute (adjective)
poor; poverty-stricken; needy; impoverished

Sample of destitute
One Bangladeshi bank makes loans to destitute citizens so that they may overcome their poverty.
