Description of gourmand (noun)
person who eats eagerly; glutton; greedy person

A gourmand may eat several servings of an entree.



   
Description of nostrum (noun)
questionable remedy for difficulties; panacea

Samples of nostrum
The doctor's prescription was so unusual that it could be seen as a nostrum.
The nostrum of pine leaves and water did not seem to cure the illness.
