Introduction
Dear User,

As our site grows every day we want to share some information with you on the way we are operating the project. We call this section «Business Blog» as it is similar to doing a log book where data is recorded in a chronological order. «Blogging» is gaining popularity with more and more people picking up the habit of publishing their experiences and thoughts on the Internet. Our Blog covers various topics — from TOEFL, TOEIC, MBA, GMAT, ESL/EFL test preperation to cultural traditions and current political events.
There will also be some Internet marketing terminology and if you have any questions regarding the information simply let us know.

The Business Blog is written by Torsten Daerr and edited by Alan Townend.

2003 — December 31
With 2004 knocking at the door Alan's first newsletter of the New Year will be about New Year resolutions and how to keep or forget them as well as about hot other related words like «resolve», «resolution» and «resolute» are used. As usual you will enjoy the entertaining yet educative style typical of Mr Townend's stories and tests. A growing number of people read his newsletter and this month our site has been found through more than 1500 search strings. This is because Google indexes almost every single phrase that is published on our website and as we constantly add new pages so we reach more people. Of course some of the search strings are rather unique and such as «exam the topic tabloid» (that is the original phrase that was typed into the Ukrainian Google version by someone) and up came Alan's story with the phrasal verb «bring» because it also contains the sentence «This news brought out the worst in the tabloid press…»

Meanwhile Slava and I had another go at distributing the January 2004 issue of our Russian language newspaper Leipziger.RU which now contains 12 instead of 8 pages and we further increased the number of copies by 30% too. The best thing, however, is that we have signed long term contracts with companies…
