Dear Friend,

Do you have German citizenship? Of course you do. But here comes a harder question: Are you familiar with Germany's constitution? What exactly do you know about the Bundestag, the Bundesrat, the Chancellor and the Federal President? Foreigners who apply for German citizenship have to take a test containing such questions. What about us Germans who were born here? Would we pass that test too? Shouldn't everyone living in this country have a sound knowledge of its constitution? I think a lot of conflicts are due to the fact too often people confuse facts with opinions. Whenever you take part in an discussion it's good to make sure you know as many facts regarding the topic as possible. Now with Europe unifying - it's even more important to know what is going on in our own country.

What do you think about this subject?
Let's discuss it next Wednesday.

Regards
Torsten Daerr
