Dear Friend,

As promised last week here are some more answers the questions you have been asking recently:

What companies and institutions recognize the TOEIC test result and how do they measure it?

- The number of TOEIC test takers in Europe has grown by about 30% each year for the last 4 years which means more and more people are taking the test. This is mainly because large international corporation such as Siemens, Allianz, Renault and many more rely on the TOEIC score to measure a person's English proficiency.

What score do I need to improve my chances for a job?

- Well, this really depends on the kind of job and responsibility you have in mind. The average TOEIC score of test takers in France - Europe's TOEIC country number 1 - is 750. This is the score a person who wants a managerial position should have.

Are there any preparation materials I can use?

- Yes, there is "The Official TOEIC Test Preperation Guide" - a book that contains a mini TOEIC test, 2 full lenght tests as well as variety of useful exercises aimed at TOEIC. There are some other TOEIC prep books. If you want a full list you might want to do a search at amazon.com

Dear Friend,

Please, let us know if you have any other question regarding TOEIC or language practice techniques.

Have a good spring week.
Best regards
Torsten Daerr
