Category: Fiction, Classic British Literature, Historical
Keywords: Sir Nigel Loring, White, Company
Author: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Publisher: ISIS Audio Books
Length: 15 hours and 26 min.

Description
The White Company is a motley group of English mercenaries, fighting under the leadership of Sir Nigel Loring. Bound by an unquestioning respect for social order, patriotism, and a lust for adventure, the company makes its way to France to fight in the local wars. Encountering pirate ships and other dramas during their crossing, they finally land at Bordeaux and become involved with the fighting at the siege of Chateau of Villefranch du Perigord and in the Spanish Pyrenees. With assiduous attention to historical detail, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle paints a convincing picture of the chivalric life and manners of the 14th century. With a fresh, concise style, this is a robust and stirring tale of adventure with the spirit and humorous touch of a Chaucerian raconteur.

What's So Great About America
Details: Unabridged
ISBN: 1590072901
Category: History, American, Nonfiction, Politics
Keywords: United States, What, Great, America
Author: Dinesh D'Souza
Publisher: Phoenix Audio
Length: 5 hours and 59 min.

Description
America is under attack as never before - not only from terrorists, but from people who provide a rationale for terrorism. Best selling author Dinesh D'Souza takes on all of America's critics and proves them wrong - as perhaps only a writer with an immigrant's understanding of this country can. D'Souza presents his case for intelligent patriotism based on an understanding of what really makes America unique in the world. Among other issues, he confronts the hallmarks of criticism of the American way - our history of slavery, colonialism, and materialism. His thought-provoking essay is simply presented. He defends not an idealized America, but America as it really is, and measures America not against utopia, but against the rest of the world.
