It''s very likely that you have heard of exams such as the Accuplacer Test or the ASVAB for the first time. So, how can you create vocabulary lists for those tests? Well, if you perform a search for «ASVAB» on eBay you will find used prep books or even new ones at a very reasonable price. For a one time investment of about $10 you get a valuable resource which you can use for various purposes. What about your local library? Have you checked it for the following keywords:
Accuplacer Test
English For Business LCCI
Cambridge English Exams
Nursing Entrance
Ask your friends, fellow students or colleagues — maybe they know one of the tests and exams mentioned above or have even taken one of them? Talk to your professors to find out what they know about those tests. Also, you should «google» keywords such as «test prep forum» to find places on the Internet where you can get information on exams that contain verbal or vocabulary parts. One the most popular websites for test preparation discussions is www.testmagic.com. Check out their forum, ask questions and you soon will get all the necessary answers.
