1. Lumia 820 and 920 are the first touch screen phones to respond to gloves, which is very convenient during the winter in Hanoi.
2. Lumia 820 and 920 are the first touch screen phones responding to gloves, which is very convenient during the winter in Hanoi.
Is #2 correct?
Is there any difference in meaning between them?

The first sentence says that you can can use it when wearing gloves.
The second sentence suggests that is currently responding.
Well, not really; neither one says the phone can respond to gloved fingers.

There's not enough difference between the two that readers are misinformed, but the first sentence is qwicker and easier to understand.
