Hello,
I am new to be here... nice to meet to you all.
I am dying to know which one is correct sentence.
(I've been looking for ages to find an answer, and I found this site. )

In the mail, when I attach a few files and tell to receiver,
I say, " Please see the attached files for the details".
I always feel that is too much "the" & "s".

I wonder I should say,
" Please see the attached file for details"
( even they have a few files or there is a lot of detail to see in the files?)

or one is above ? " Please see the attached files for the details".

or are they both incorrect ?

I would deeply appreciate it if anyone could give me an answer...

Thank you.

If there is more than one file, I think you should say "files". I like "Please see the attached files for the details", especially if you were referring to the details in your email, but it is ok to leave out the second "the". I am sure that foreign learners think that English uses "the" way too much, but native speakers really don't notice the "the"s unless a necessary one is missing.

Hello Luschen :-)

Thank you very much for giving me an answer.
I understood that second "the" is not that important.
So over all, my sentence wasn't incorrect, was it ?

I thought "the" is sort of the way of pointing what we are talking. ( apart from a necessary one )
But I wasn't sure that I have understand it correctly or not.
However, "the" or "a/an" are always get me in trouble...

Once again, Thank you very much for your great help.
You made my day!

I will search this site again when I lost.
