To me, 1 and 2 are okay with 1 being preferable.

Leave out 'the' before French in #1 and 2.
Do not use #3.

It might also be preferable to place a 'the' before 'implementation' in #1 (but not in #2, which I dislike more than #1 anyway as it does not carry the same clarity).
