This construction is not possible. You have to say: He demanded that I ..... _________________ English as a Second Language You can read my ESL story Present Simple |

Does the verb demand align among those verbs which are inappropriate to be used in ing-form |

Hello Nenad,
You can use the -ing form of 'demand', but not in the above question.
"He came here demanding answers." "The bank are demanding payment." "The boy is demanding compensation." _________________ "Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened."

Nenad, I think you are asking if there is a noncontinuous use of "demand." There is.
Studying demands patience and concentration.
That never happens with people, though. When people demand something, it is obviously intentional and therefore lies outside the argument for noncontinuous verbs. |
