'to go to bed' is a set phrase relating to climbing into your own bed.
An article isn't needed because in this sense 'bed' relates directly to 'Sharon'.

Isn't it about time you went to bed now.
You look tired. Perhaps you should go to bed.
I went to bed at 11.30p.m. last night.
